Legislation and Goverance course

Expand your understanding of the legal environment and obligations of not-for-profit organizations—and charities—with the Legislation and Governance course.

This course is an excellent starting point for understanding not-for-profit corporations and registered Canadian charities, and their rights and obligations as legal entities. This course will help you understand the roles of the different types of individuals (paid and volunteer) involved with such organizations, and the different styles of governing not-for-profit corporations and registered Canadian charities.

This course applies to the Not-for-Profit Leadership Certificate program. For more information, visit the Legislation and Governance program page

Please note: Legislation and Governance, and Financial Literacy for Not-for-Profit Organizations are two separate topics under one course. You only need to register for one if taking the individual course.
